Arlesey Church, Bedfordshire

St. Peter’s Church is obviously venerable, although it stands rather neglected on the edge of Arlesey and is in serious need of some TLC.

The Church was constructed around 1180 by the monks of the long vanished Etonbury Monastery which stood nearby. They were also responsible for building the Bridge over the River Hiz which is now cut off from Arlesey by both Railway Line and the by-pass road.
