City of London

St. Dunstan-in-the-East, City of London

Of David Laing’s main church body nothing now exists, it having been demolished after being gutted in 1941. The tower and spire are by Wren, from around 1702, and take their inspiration from the “crown” spires of such as Newcastle-upon-Tyne’s Cathedral.
