ST. MARY'S ROMAN CATHOLIC CATHEDRAL

Edinburgh, Mid-Lothian

St. Mary's Roman Catholic Cathedral, Edinburgh, Mid-Lothian

Full dedication: Cathedral Church of St. Mary
Became a Cathedral in 1814

This rather plain church is typical of the Catholic Cathedrals of Scotland. It dates to 1814 and was designed by Gillespie Graham. Further work was undertaken in 1890 but it fails to impress particularly despite some unusual modern sculptures outside.
