Picture Twenty-Four

Man At Work

From Prague Andrew travelled on to Bratislava in Slovakia (and from there to Vienna). Unfortunately whilst in Bratislava the weather took a turn for the moister, although it did allow Andrew to use the umbrella as a "prop" in photos.

Dotted around the streets of Bratislava are a number of slightly eccentric statues, the best known of which is this one called "Man at Work" (how many people, I wonder, have been injured tripping over it!).  Despite the poor weather Andrew rather liked Bratislava.

This picture was taken by another English tourist on 31st May 2000.

To read more about Andrew's time in Slovakia, see Travel Pages: Slovakia.

Other photos from Bratislava can bee seen at Pictures Forty-Three, Ninety-Seven and 117.
