Picture Thirty-One

The Three Towers of Ghent

Andrew on St. Michael's Bridge, Ghent, Belgium.  Behind him are the famed "Three Towers of Ghent", the church tower of St. Nikolaas, the Belfroi and the tower of St. Bavo's Cathedral.

This picture was taken by a scouse woman who first tried to look through the side of the camera (until Andrew corrected her and told her to look through the hole in the back). So it's remarkable that it's such a good photo really!

Ghent is a beautiful City and well worth a visit.  Andrew's visit was on his "Flanders" trip which started in the Somme region of France and headed to Brugge via Lille and Ghent.  To read all about it click the links above.

Other photos from Andrew's Belgian trip can be seen at Pictures Fourteen, Thirty-Eight, Fifty-Six, Sixty-Seven, 107, 110 and 136.
