GALLERY 2001 : Picture Forty-Three

Not About to Emulate Tosca

Here's Andrew on the terrace of the Castel St. Angelo in Rome; the scene of the Final Act of Puccini's Tosca where the heroine throws herself from the terrace, not what Andrew was about to do (despite his video camera playing up at an inopportune moment).

Some of the very best views in Rome can be had from the terrace and it is worth the climb for the views of St. Peter's (in the background) alone.

This picture was taken on the 12th December 2001 by another tourist.

Other photos from Andrew's trip to Rome and the Vatican can be found at Pictures Seven, Twelve, Twenty-five, Twenty-eight, Thirty-one, Thirty-five, Forty-seven, Fifty-nine, Sixty-two, Sixty-nine, Eighty and Ninety.
