GALLERY '87: Picture Seventeen

Snow Gopher?

Winter 1987 was a real cold one with the deepest snow we'd had in ages (and in fact since). One day (18th January) Shaun came to visit Andrew and they went out to take some photos.  At one point Shaun found a big snowdrift, and so he decided to dig a tunnel through it.

Andrew crawled in the other end and took this photo.  You can see how cold it is because of the mistyness in the picture created by Shaun's breath crystallising.  However, you can also see how hard he was working by the amount of sweat on his brow!
