Brixham Church, Devon

The original church of Brixham was St. Mary’s, but as the town grew it was decided a church was needed for the Lower town. The first church was built around 1819-24 but is now swamped underneath changes made between 1884 and 1906 when the tower was added.

The vicar of All Saints at one time was Henry Francis Lyte, famous as the writer of Abide with Me.
