Helliggeistkirche, Munich, Germany

The Church of the Holy Spirit (Helliggeistkirche) is one of Munich’s older churches. Sitting next to the Viktualienmarkt it appears from the outside to be another of Munich’s many Baroque churches, but in fact it is a façade added in the 1720s to match the then current tastes. Much of the interior work still dates from the 1450s. There was some damage during World War II, but nothing is visible today.
