Jane woke up one morning
And though she searched high and low
She couldn’t find Harvey
Where could he go?

She’d searched in the bathroom
She’d looked under the bed
She’d looked in the closet
But Harvey seemed to have fled.

She called out his name
As loud as she possibly could
She shouted and shouted
But it didn’t do any good.

She couldn’t understand
What could have happened to her cat
Perhaps he was gone forever
She didn’t want to face that.

She went into the garden
Feeling like she would cry
When she heard Harvey’s miaow
It was coming from the sky.

There was his little orange face
Staring down at her from the gutter
What was he doing up there?
He was such a little nutter.

So when the fireman came
To rescue Harvey from his plight
He brought him down to Jane
And she hugged him with all her might.
