The long thin sliver of Norway snakes up the west coast of Scandinavia, providing it with one of the most scenic boat journeys in the world, the wonderful Fjords trip to the northernmost point of mainland Europe.
There are also towns of great history and beauty such as Bergen and the capital, Oslo.
Norway is one of the few "West" European countries not to be a part of the European Union, and as such it is still one of the most expensive destinations in the Continent. It makes up for this expense by being having one of the most beautiful landscapes in the World.
